Jimbo's bloodlines include some of the most notable horses of the breed. His sire was one of the greats of the breed, Syd's Good Stallion, who was known as a filly producer. Jimbo is one of the few colts he produced before his untimely death in 2004. Jimbo's grandsire was The Docked Tail Horse, and his granddam was The Daughter of the Lob.
